Here's his story...
Hi,
In just over 11 weeks time on October 2nd, I will get to fulfill one of my life long dreams - running in the Sahara.
The event is a seven-day self-supported footrace running 250 kilometres in the world’s largest subtropical desert. It is described by Time Magazine as one of the top ten races in the world. I will be carrying all my own gear, food and clothing in a backpack, and the only assistance I will receive will be water, medical attention and a tent to sleep in at night.
My aim is to raise USD$50,000 for a charity very close to my heart – the Children’s Surgical Centre in Cambodia. I have visited the centre many times and the work they do never ceases to amaze me – it is a charity that I have been a part of for over 2 years and will continue to be so.
